Fox Pediatrics is Hiring a Pediatric Medical Assistant Near Mount Pleasant, MI

Fox Pediatrics is seeking a well-qualified Medical Assistant to join our team. Established in 2015, we are a private practice with one MD and three NPs focused on providing compassionate care for our patients and evidence-based education for our parents and guardians. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am-6pm, and Friday 8am-5pm, so no nights and no weekends are required.

Duties:

  • Room patients
  • Take vitals & measurements
  • Administer vaccines
  • Complete accurate documentation in patient charts
  • Collect and prepare specimens for labs
  • Process incoming calls, faxes, and messages for providers
  • Complete referrals and prior authorizations
  • Schedule ER follow ups and other appointments as indicated
  • Clean exam rooms between visits
  • Assist providers and other staff as necessary

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year MA experience in primary care
  • Compassionate and personable disposition with patients and parents
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and childcare, as applicable

Bonus Points:

  • Certified or Registered MA designation
  • 3 years MA experience in primary care
  • Pediatric experience
  • Proficiency in Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
